Bradley Governor Patrick Signs Hingham Liquor License Bill into Law Bradley and Hedlund filed legislation to grant a liquor license for 6 Station Street March 25, 2010 Boston- Governor Deval L. Patrick recently signed into law legislation that will grant an additional liquor license to the town of Hingham that will be located at 6 Station Street. The town petitioned Representative Garrett Bradley (D-Hingham) and Senator Hedlund (R-Weymouth) to file legislation on its behalf after a successful vote at the 2009 town meeting. “I am pleased that we were able to get this legislation passed quickly,” said Representative Bradley. “By granting this liquor license the town’s commercial tax base will increase and the restaurant will ascetically be a major improvement to the downtown area as the current building has been in disrepair for years.” “In these difficult economic times, we should do what we can to support small business owners,” Senator Hedlund said. The liquor license is only valid at 6 Station Street location and cannot be transferred to any other location in the town. ###
