Hingham High School Girls State Championship Teams Honored

Representative Bradley and Senator Hedlund Host Event at the State House

 

BOSTON – On April 9th, 2008 Representative Garrett Bradley (D – Hingham) and Senator Robert Hedlund (R – Weymouth) congratulated the state champion girls ice hockey and girls indoor track teams from Hingham High School at a special State House ceremony.

The teams, along with their coaches and parents, were treated to lunch, awarded citations recognizing their championship seasons, and given a tour of the House and Senate chambers. Lt. Gov. Timothy Murray also personally congratulated the teams outside of the Governor’s wing.

“Winning a state championship title is no small feat,” said Representative Bradley “I am honored to do my part in recognizing the wonderful achievement of these talented athletes.”

“These young ladies have made my hometown proud,” said Sen. Hedlund. “They are continuing on a legacy of strong student-athletes at Hingham High School.”
