Bradley Hull Beach Program Receives Better Beaches Grant BOSTON, MA– Save the Harbor/Save the Bay, a non-profit group dedicated to increasing public use of Boston Harbor and Boston-area beaches, has awarded $3,300 grant money to help support beachside programming in Hull The Hull/Nantasket Chamber of Commerce received an $1,800 “Better Beaches” grant to help fund its annual Endless Summer Festival. The festival, now in its fourth year, has drawn about 5,000 participants annually. The Hull Lifesaving Museum, which coordinates En Plain Aire, a year-round artist program on Nantasket Beach, among other programs, will receive a $1,500 grant. These grants were made possible due to a partnership between the Save theHarbor/Save the Bay, The Boston Foundation, Commonwealth’s Department of Conservation and Recreation, National Grid and local small businesses. The cooperative effort of these groups yielded a total of $68,000 to be invested in community beach programming throughout the greater Boston area this summer. “Our shoreline is one of our region’s greatest natural resources,” said Sen.Robert Hedlund (R-Weymouth). “I appreciate Save the Harbor/Save the Bay’s continued efforts to reconnect our citizens and neighborhoods to the waterfront.” "I am very pleased to see that Save the Harbor/Save the Bay has recognizedthe importance of Nantasket Beach to the Hull Community and I look forward to seeing the benefit of these grants this summer," Rep.
