Bradley (D–Hingham) and Senator Robert L. Hedlund (R–Weymouth) are pleased to announce that Governor Deval Patrick signed into law today House Bill 4591, An Act Establishing A Voting Precinct in the Town of Hingham. This legislation splits the current precinct 6 into two voting districts for all state and municipal elections. The new precinct 6A will have a polling location at the Linden Ponds Retirement Community to serve all voters living at 203 Linden Ponds Way. Furthermore the location will serve voters residing on the following streets: Abington Street, Accord Lane, Accord Pond Drive, Deerfield Road, Dennis Road, Derby Street, Devon Terrance, Farm Hills Lane, 227 – 453 Gardner Street, Harvest Lane, Hazelwood Drive, Hickey Road, Mallard Run, Old Derby Street, Peter Hobart Drive, Recreation Park Drive, Whiting Lane, Whiting Street, and Winfield Road. “The addition of a polling location will make it easier for those living at Linden Ponds, and nearby, to vote.” said Representative Bradley “As Chair of the Election Laws Committee, I am happy to see this bill become law.” Senator Hedlund stated, “Establishing this precinct will provide easier voting access for those residents of Linden Ponds and South Hingham.
